What is gua sha?
Gua sha is a traditional East Asian healing practice that's been around for thousands of years. The word literally means "to scrape" and the technique involves using a smooth tool to apply gentle pressure across the skin in upward strokes. It was originally used on the body to release tension and improve circulation, and over time it made its way into facial care.
Why it works- the science behind it
When you glide a gua sha tool across your face, you're manually stimulating blood flow and activating your lymphatic system. Your lymphatic system is responsible for flushing out waste and excess fluid from your tissues but unlike your heart, it has no pump. It relies entirely on movement and pressure to flow. That's why faces get puffy when we're stressed, tired, or sedentary. Gua sha essentially does the pumping for it, moving stagnant fluid out and bringing fresh, oxygenated blood in. The result? Less puffiness, better circulation, and that lit-from-within glow.
Why electric is better
Traditional gua sha works, but it requires the right technique and a lot of consistency to see results. The electric version takes the guesswork out of it. The EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) technology sends micro-current pulses deep into the facial muscles something a manual tool simply can't do. This stimulates the muscles the same way exercise stimulates your body, helping them firm up and lift over time. This really works. Took forever to get here, but LORD!!! This works well! This is an immediate before and after. The sharpness of the jaw does fade throughout the day but if done consistently it will eventually become more permanent.

I’m impressed and delighted with the instant results and the calming feeling. Good weight to it, too. I use a Bian Stone facial roller, as well. They work great in sequence or alternate days, according to research I’ve been doing extensively on facial items. I use it at night lying in bed and keep them in my purse just to keep the face glowing throughout the day at the office. Great just before Zoom meetings or whatever. Certainly looking forward to aging well with these assists. I just edited my post to include a before and after. I am 37, for the record.

I'm new to Gua Sha, but I'm loving the tool thus far. A face oil or lotion is needed to reduce friction. I did not see that mentioned until I Googled it. I enjoy the blue and purple settings.

I’m obsessed with this device. It truly feels like a spa treatment at home. I love that it combines heat, cooling, light therapy, vibration, and EMS all in one tool. This device also looks divine and can be proudly displayed on your bedside table.
Now, about the functionality. So the device has just 3 buttons, and you might need a bit of getting used to to get around the short and longer presses, but when you do, it is as simple as it can be.
You can just use it is, in a standby mode as an alternative to Gua Sha or switch it on and enjoy red LED light therapy, light vibration and/or heating sensation.
I am using it in the evening after applying my skincare products and then just helping them penetrate better and increase the effectiveness. Plus, it is a really nice feeling before bed to warm your face and give it a bit of lymphatic drainage.
Great that you can use it not only on the face but neck, shoulders, chest, arms and legs if required and it is so compact that you can just chuck it in the bag and take it on the go!

I use this while watching TV every night as part of my self-care. My face used to feel tight, stressed, and puffy before bed, no matter what I put on. I did not lose weight or do anything different at all. My daughter pointed out the difference and could not see it until I looked at the before and after. Only after 6 weeks of 5-10 min per day while just watching tv or relaxing.

I was on the fence about ordering this product, but I can 100% say I am SOOO happy that I did! I must admit I was a little skeptical on how if it really would reduce puffiness and increase the elasticity of my skin, but these pictures are just ONE week apart. I didn’t realize how much it made a difference until I took these pictures. My skin looks healthier, it’s softer, and I can’t get over how less puffy my skin looks. Highly recommend 10/10. Will continue to include this in my daily skin routine!

Less puffy
I love this device it has so many benefits and makes my puffy face less puffy. My sinuses drain when I use it in the mornings or when this hellacious pollen is at its highest. My double chin has decreased in size thanks to being able to push fluids to the lymphatic system.

You have to be consistent
The wonderful thing is, once you get into your groove, per se - it’s very easy to get into a daily morning/night routine, without it feeling a cumbersome chore. It’s addictive and habit forming, since you’re actually getting physical visible results of a more refined, smooth and well toned face. So you obviously want to maintain that.

I can’t really tell if it works for like slimming your face but man it feels awesome. When I feel all clogged it’s awesome to work out the mucus or when I have a headache. I bought a second bc I dropped the first and it snapped. Not the product’s fault, it was a brutal fall.
